And we agree.

WE SURF
Wheel to Surf
Our very own Brock Johnson create the event "Wheel to Surf" in 2013. Our flagship event is a surf clinic for individuals who happen to have a disability. It's an opportunity for anyone to experience the joy of surfing.
Normalize Adaptive Surfing
On most summer Sundays, you'll find us catching some waves at Cherry Grove Pier. Come join us for a casual beach day! One day it will be normal to see adaptive surfers at every surf break in the world.
Adaptive Competition
Team ASP is our team of athletes who surf competitively, at the local, national, and international levels. Reach out for more info.
WE SHARE THE STOKE
Adaptive Outreach
We want adaptive surfing to grow worldwide. So we travel nationally and internationally to train and equip interested groups to host their own adaptive surfing events. Learn more.
Adaptive Equipment
We're designing and creating the adaptive equipment that makes adaptive surfing possible: adaptive surfboards, adaptive wetsuits and different styles of beach wheelchairs.
Adaptive Bike Project
If surfing is not for you, join us for our adaptive bike rides at the North Myrtle Beach Sports Complex. We typically have a monthly ride with bikes of all types: trikes, side-by-side quad cycles, hand-cycles, regular bikes, and even bikes a wheelchair can fit on the front of!

WE NOURISH OUR COMMUNITY
Accessible Beaches
Beaches should be for everyone. Beach wheelchairs can be hard to find and difficult to travel with. We're on a mission to put a beach wheelchair at every public pier on the east coast - so that when you see a pier, you know there's a chair. Besides this, let's put beach matting all the way to the high tide line at public beach accesses and ramps where needed.
Healthy Beaches
The beach is our home and we want to take care of it. We do beach cleanup days and we support other local efforts to keep our beaches and ocean healthy.
Inclusive Community
All the fun stuff in our communities should be open for all whether it's concerts, bars, restaurants, open mics, bowling or whatever we do for enjoyment. Let's leave no one out of the fun.
"The moment I get in the ocean, I don't feel any pain at all. It takes the worries of the world away, every time you're there."
